Job summary

Avis Budget Group is hiring an EV Technician C in Dallas, TX to build foundational EV expertise and support routine maintenance, tire services, basic repairs, and entry-level diagnostics under supervision. You will gain hands-on experience with EV platforms, safety standards, and software-driven diagnostics.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year automotive technician experience.
• Interest in hybrid and/or electric vehicle systems.
• At least one ASE certification (A1-A8) required.
• EV ASE Level 1 and Level 2 certifications required within 6 months of hire.
• ADAS and alignment training in progress preferred.
• Ability to follow detailed procedures and safety standards.
• Basic computer skills and comfort using diagnostic software.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand/bend/reach for long periods.
• Work may occur indoors and outdoors; on-site presence required.

Responsibilities

• Tire repair and replacement following safety and quality standards.
• Preventive maintenance including filters, belts and related items.
• Brake system service (pads/rotors).
• Replace fuses, bulbs, indicator lights, and 12V batteries.
• Support basic suspension components (tie rods).
• Inspect and replace wheel sensors and related parts.
• Use diagnostic tools for basic troubleshooting and system checks.
• Assist with infotainment and display screen replacements.
• Support OTA software update processes.
• Learn ADAS components (cameras, radar, LiDAR) and sensor alignment.
