Amerit Fleet Solutions in Detroit, MI is seeking a Master EV Technician/Automotive Mechanic to service, repair, and retrofit electric and autonomous vehicles. The role emphasizes diagnosing complex AV/electric systems and performing software updates in a fast-paced shop or field setting.

You will collaborate with engineers and service teams, document work accurately, and stay current with autonomous vehicle technology through ongoing training and safety practices.

Qualifications

• 4-8 years of hands-on automotive maintenance and repairs.
• Strong ability to diagnose electrical, mechanical and AV/EV systems.
• Experience with hardware retrofits and AV hardware replacement.

Responsibilities

• Perform service, repair, and maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and integrated systems of electric autonomous vehicles.
• Diagnose nuanced mechanical, electrical, A/C, and autonomous vehicle systems.
• Conduct complex hardware retrofits and AV hardware replacements.
• Perform software and firmware updates.
• Collaborate with engineering and service teams to troubleshoot issues.
• Create repair orders and document work performed including diagnosis and parts used.
• Participate in fleet-wide hardware/software retrofits.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain quality.
