Job summary

ASML in San Diego, CA is seeking a Senior Algorithms & Controls Engineer to lead advanced control solutions for EUV light production. You will mentor engineers, drive cross-disciplinary innovation, and shape system architectures from concept to manufacturing.

The role emphasizes algorithm development, MATLAB/Simulink implementations, and collaboration across plasma controls and software teams in a fast-paced high-tech setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline; Master’s preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant controls engineering experience.
• Experience with feedback control, optimization or automation systems.
• Experience developing control algorithms using MATLAB and Simulink.
• Experience with system integration, testing and verification.
• Experience with semiconductor/plasma/lithography environments preferred.
• Proficiency with C/C++ and Python is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical expert for control/optimization subsystems.
• Support roadmaps and define system specifications.
• Plan and execute testing and design verification in lab/cleanroom.
• Coordinate architectural specs across programs and subsystems.
• Lead and mentor junior controls engineers.
• Document results and communicate specifications to stakeholders.
