Job summary

ASML in San Diego seeks a Plasma and Laser Physics Engineer to validate and optimize EUV source performance. You will apply physics, perform experiments, and analyze large datasets to meet customer requirements.

The role involves cross-functional collaboration, on-site in San Diego, and occasional travel for troubleshooting and deployment. The position requires a PhD/Master's preferred background in plasma physics or related fields with 5+ years of experience, proficiency in MATLAB/Python, and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Plasma Physics, Engineering Physics, Applied Physics, or related field; Master's/PhD preferred.
5+ years of related experience with optics, laser-induced plasma, optical metrology, or control systems.
Experience with complex systems integration and multidisciplinary environments.

Responsibilities

Develop system-level expertise on EUV light source performance and control.
Design, execute, and document experiments to validate prototype hardware and software.
Collect, process, and analyze large datasets using MATLAB, Python, and diagnostic tools.
Collaborate with architects, design engineers, and manufacturing teams.
Support customer escalations with remote and on-site troubleshooting.
