Job summary

ASML in San Diego is seeking a Senior Algorithms & Controls Engineer to lead development of advanced control solutions for stable EUV light generation. You will mentor engineers and solve multidisciplinary challenges across control systems, automation, software, sensors, data analytics, and plasma physics.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team through the product lifecycle, from concept through qualification and manufacturing support, driving innovation and system availability

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Controls Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field; Master’s or PhD preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in controls engineering or related.
• Experience designing and implementing complex feedback control, optimization, or automation systems.
• Experience with MATLAB and Simulink.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical expert for control/optimization subsystems with independent decision-making.
• Plan, manage and coordinate projects and ensure on-time delivery.
• Lead testing, verification, and integration in lab and cleanroom environments.
• Mentor junior engineers and ensure system architecture consistency across programs.
