Job summary

Garney Construction is seeking an Estimator for our Shawnee, KS area team. This full-time, salaried position includes full benefits and ESOP participation.

The role calls for estimating experience in water, wastewater, or industrial markets and the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently. Responsibilities include detailed takeoffs, cost estimation, subcontractor solicitations, risk analysis, and effective communication with field operations to ensure clear scope and construction

Qualifications

• Estimating experience of 5–8 years.
• Proficiency in interpreting drawings and understanding specifications.
• Ability to review take-off quantities for accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for water and wastewater projects.
• Review project documents, plans, specs and addenda.
• Analyze and compile estimate data affecting labor, materials, equipment, and location.
