Garney is seeking an Estimator to join our expanding Estimating Team. This full-time, salaried role offers comprehensive benefits and ESOP participation.

The ideal candidate has estimating experience in water, wastewater, or industrial markets and can handle multiple projects while building relationships with subcontractors and suppliers. Responsibilities include detailed takeoffs, cost estimates, and risk analysis, with opportunities for value engineering input.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of construction estimating experience required.
• Experience with water, wastewater, or industrial markets preferred.
• Ability to review drawings, specs, and addenda for accuracy.
• Experience with at-risk self-performing contracts preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for water and wastewater projects.
• Review project documents, plans, specs, and addenda thoroughly.
• Analyze data affecting labor, materials, equipment, location, and other costs.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier proposals.
• Develop and maintain relationships with small businesses, subs, and suppliers.
• Provide input on value engineering and risk analysis.
• Communicate bid information to field operations at pre-construction meetings.
