Job summary

CoVolt Power is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead preconstruction estimating for utility-scale solar and battery storage projects across the United States. This role requires strong renewable energy estimating expertise and leadership to guide a team in a fast-paced EPC environment.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with business development, procurement, preconstruction, and operations to develop winning strategies from pursuit through execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Energy Systems, or related field.
• 3-5 years estimating experience on utility-scale energy or heavy civil projects.
• Experience estimating utility-scale solar and/or BESS projects.
• Strong EPC preconstruction and cost estimating knowledge.
• Electrical takeoff experience and major electrical systems knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimating efforts for utility-scale solar and battery energy storage projects.
• Develop accurate, competitive estimates using self-perform and subcontractor pricing.
• Review RFPs, drawings, schedules to define scope and estimate requirements.
• Mentor and manage junior estimators.
• Prepare pricing proposals for client submissions.
• Support contract negotiations and pricing updates.
• Lead estimate review meetings and handoff to operations.
