Confidential Search in East San Diego County, CA is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead its estimating group for underground utilities. This on-site role manages a team of 3–5 estimators, delivering competitive bids for major utility owners and public agencies.

The candidate will own the numbers, drive bid strategy, and coordinate with operations for hand-off and risk review. The position requires a strong background in large-scale utility infrastructure projects and related software skills.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in underground utility or heavy civil estimating.
• Experience leading a team of estimators.
• Proficiency with estimating software and MS Office.

Responsabilités

• Lead a team of 3–5 estimators and oversee bids.
• Build production-based estimates for large underground utility projects.
• Prepare competitive hard bids for public agencies and utilities.
• Analyze RFPs, scopes, plans and specs; perform take-offs and bid schedules.
• Lead pre-bid meetings and bid strategy sessions.
