Confidential Search in East San Diego County, CA is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead the estimating group for underground utility and civil projects. This on-site role manages a 3–5 person team and drives competitive bids for public agencies and utility owners.

You own the numbers and the process—from take-offs and bid schedules to pre-bid strategy and post-bid reviews. The position requires a strong background in utility infrastructure, cost management, and contract risk, with a direct-hire,

Competenze

• 6+ years estimating in underground utility or heavy civil construction.
• Experience leading and developing a team of estimators.
• Experience with large-scale utility projects and public bids.
• Strong Excel and MS Office skills; P6/MS Project knowledge helpful.
• DIR compliance and prevailing wage experience preferred.
• Commute daily to East San Diego County office.

Mansioni

• Manage, mentor and review 3–5 estimators.
• Build production estimates for large underground utility and civil projects.
• Prepare competitive bids for public agencies and utilities.
• Analyze RFPs, scopes, plans and specs; perform take-offs and bid schedules.
• Lead pre-bid meetings, bid strategy sessions and site visits.
• Define sub and supplier scopes, solicit pricing and maintain databases.
• Review final estimates with Operations and submit bid packages.
• Support project managers with hand-off and change orders.
