Job summary

We Collaborate LLC seeks a Chief Estimator to lead underground utility construction estimating, develop accurate bids, and align with profitability targets. You will guide the estimating team, collaborate with operations, and drive risk-aware pricing strategies.

This executive role requires 10+ years in underground utility estimating, 5+ years in leadership, and proficiency with HCSS HeavyBid and Bluebeam. Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or related field preferred; OSHA certification a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• 10+ years of underground utility construction estimating experience.
• 5+ years in leadership or management overseeing estimating teams.
• Proven success managing large, complex infrastructure bids and estimating operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage the estimating team and support staff.
• Direct preparation and review of major estimates and bid submissions.
• Develop bid strategies to maximize competitiveness while protecting profitability.
• Collaborate with operations, business development, and leadership on go/no-go decisions.
• Oversee cost databases, pricing accuracy, and estimating standards.
