Job summary

Teichert is seeking a Chief Estimator to plan, organize, and manage the estimating function within the Energy and Utilities Group. The role focuses on procuring profitable underground construction work, guiding bid processes, and supporting contract negotiations to secure new business opportunities.

The Chief Estimator will lead a team of estimators and project engineers, ensuring accurate estimates, compliance with safety standards, and collaboration across offices to align with company goals

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field or equivalent
• Minimum of ten years’ experience in construction/engineering with underground work
• Minimum five years’ experience supervising others

Responsibilities

• Accurately prepares estimates and reviews drawings to determine scope and contents
• Leads bid process, manages scheduling, and reviews final estimates
• Provides technical direction and supports contract negotiations
• Maintains liaisons with clients and coordinates with field personnel to schedule work
• Coaches and develops Estimating staff and ensures adherence to policies and procedures
