Job summary

Teichert, Inc. is seeking an experienced Estimator to contribute to accurate, timely project estimates and to support ongoing activities during construction from bid through completion.

The role emphasizes taking off scopes, coordinating with field teams, preparing change orders, and maintaining cost controls while collaborating with project managers to drive successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
• Minimum of five years of public works estimating experience in pipeline, heavy civil and/or mechanical construction
• Senior estimators should have prior experience supervising team bidding efforts and estimating a broad range of projects/contracts
• Experience estimating with HCSS or Bid2Win is preferred

Responsibilities

• Accurately prepares estimates by reviewing specifications and drawings to determine scope
• Calculates complete takeoffs for scope, estimates manpower, equipment, and material needs
• Coordinates with field personnel to schedule work and evaluates progress
• Prepares change orders and coordinates job setup with procurement documents
• Partners with Project Managers and Superintendents to improve efficiency and project outcomes
• Builds positive client relationships and communicates company policies and procedures
• Assists in maintaining safety programs and ensuring compliance with standards
• Completes project logs, records and reports for estimating function
