Job summary

Teichert in San Diego, CA is seeking an experienced Estimator to produce accurate project estimates for heavy civil and solar construction, reviewed against specs, drawings, and historical data. You will coordinate with field teams, prepare takeoffs, and help drive timely, cost-conscious bids.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering, at least five years estimating experience in heavy civil, and preferred solar project exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of five years of estimating experience in heavy civil.
• Preferably two or more years of estimating or managing projects in the solar construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Actively supports Estimating goals and improves processes.
• Reviews proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope.
• Calculates takeoffs for scope of work, manpower, equipment, and materials.
• Prepares change orders and coordinates with project teams.
• Maintains client relationships and coordinates with Project Managers and Superintendents.
