Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Estimator with a background in Civil/Construction Engineering to support cost planning and procurement on a variety of projects. The role involves performing quantity take-offs, preparing OPCCs, researching costs, and coordinating with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure accurate estimates and successful bids.

Travel up to 10% may be required. Strong analytical and communication skills, proficiency with Timberline or equivalent estimating software,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• 3 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic to moderately complex estimating tasks including quantity take-offs and researching labor, material and equipment costs.
• Utilizes Timberline to prepare or assist in preparation of OPCCs and design-build projects.
• Develops or assists in development of purchase orders, subcontracts, change orders, and applications for payment to the client.
• Develops detailed baseline schedules for engineering and construction portions of projects.
