Job summary

CRH's Hales Sand & Gravel unit seeks an experienced Estimator/Project Manager to prepare quantity estimates using material, labor and overhead costs and to manage awarded projects. This role involves bidding multiple jobs, visiting sites weekly, and reviewing costs with the Project Superintendent.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering and 5+ years of estimating experience, plus proficiency in Plan Swift, Bid 2 Win, Viewpoint, and MS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field.
• Five+ years construction estimating experience preferred; education/experience equivalent accepted.
• Ability to read and interpret project plans and specs.

Responsibilities

• Bid and manage multiple jobs concurrently.
• Estimate earthwork, demolition, and utility projects with quantity take-offs and pricing.
• Visit project sites weekly to monitor progress and update cost with the Project Superintendent.
• Manage profit/loss of projects through weekly cost reviews.
• Oversee awarded projects: safety, schedules, monthly billings, and change orders.
• Collaborate with owners/customers to ensure satisfaction.
