Job summary

Edgewater Technical Associates, LLC seeks a Principal Estimator to support the Savannah River Site in Aiken, SC. You will oversee total project controls, cost and schedule baselines, and financial analysis across complex projects, under limited supervision.

Qualifications include a Master's or equivalent with at least 5 years (or equivalent) of practical experience, strong problem solving and communication skills, and familiarity with Site Business systems and CAS/FAR principles.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in business / construction management / technical / engineering or a related area with 5 years of practical experience.
• Bachelor's degree in business / construction management / technical / engineering or a related area with 7 years of practical experience would be considered equivalent.
• An Associate's degree and 11 years of practical experience would be considered equivalent.
• A HS diploma and 15 years of relevant experience would also be considered equivalent.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering, construction, operations, estimating, scheduling, project controls, proposal development, and/or project management.
• Strong problem solving, analysis and interpersonal skills, as well as oral and written communication.
• Possesses practical experience in the use of the Site Business systems and knowledge of CAS/FAR principles.

Responsibilities

• Organize, develop, implement, maintain and be accountable for total project controls and estimating applications.
• Perform project controls activities, prepare business/financial plans and reports on a periodic or ad hoc basis.
• Develop cost and schedule baselines, milestones, WBS, and spend plans to optimize resources and facilities.
• Lead development of advanced system applications and guide subordinates in complex, multi-project analyses.
• Prepare comprehensive monthly financial reports including analyses, forecasts and spend plans.
• Communicate variances and mitigation plans to management and understand the client’s business environment.
• Define requirements and develop models for complex business systems and oversee implementation of projects.
