Job summary

Hedrick Brothers Construction in Florida seeks a Senior Estimator to lead cost estimation from concept through construction documents, applying disciplined judgment to win competitive bids. You will work closely with the Chief Estimator and Preconstruction leadership, applying construction expertise to identify risks and optimize estimates.

You will coordinate with operations, clients, architects, and suppliers to develop robust budgets, drive value engineering, and deliver accurate, timely bid

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in commercial construction estimating.
• Experience leading preconstruction efforts on large, complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, building codes, and trade work across CSI Divisions.
• Proficiency with estimating software and collaboration tools.
• Ability to mentor and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates across all design stages—conceptual to construction documents.
• Build conceptual budgets from limited information using historical cost data.
• Review drawings for constructability and bid efficiency with operations.
• Develop bid packages, schedules, and qualification summaries for bids.
• Lead and mentor preconstruction activities to ensure accurate budgets and client satisfaction.
