Job summary

Florida Palm Construction, Inc. in South Florida is seeking a Senior Estimator / Preconstruction Manager to lead our preconstruction and estimating department.

You will own the estimating pipeline from opportunity review through bid submission and handoff to Operations, while mentoring teammates and refining processes. You will build relationships with subcontractors, develop accurate cost plans, evaluate risks, and drive value engineering.

Qualifications

• Significant estimating and preconstruction experience with a General Contractor.
• Ability to lead a department and mentor others.
• Strong skill in evaluating risks and value engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Estimating Pipeline: manage 8–10 active estimates, prioritize workload, ensure deadlines.
• Develop and review conceptual and detailed estimates, scopes, and bid packages.
• Lead subcontractor strategy: build relationships, solicit bids, negotiate, and ensure coverage.
• Coordinate with Sales, Preconstruction & Operations; participate in weekly estimating meetings.
• Advise on process improvements; integrate AI automations to improve accuracy and productivity.
