Job summary

Morgan Corp. seeks a Chief Estimator to lead the estimating function for heavy civil projects. Based in Raleigh, NC, you will oversee preconstruction activities, develop budgets and pricing, and set standardized estimating procedures across multiple projects.

The role demands strong leadership, extensive experience in self-performed work, subcontractor procurement, and cost database management, with final authority on pricing and bid strategy.

Qualifications

• 15 years of progressively responsible experience in heavy civil construction.
• At least 10 years of estimating experience and leadership of estimating or preconstruction teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Leads the estimating process for projects bid and awarded in the division with standardized procedures.
• Establishes estimating strategies, bid selection criteria, and pricing methodologies.
• Directs analysis of past performance, production rates, labor efficiencies, and cost trends to set standards.
