Job summary

Morgan Corp. is seeking a Chief Estimator in Charleston, SC to lead the estimating function for heavy civil projects. This senior role covers budgets, cost estimates, bid strategies, and pricing for multiple division projects.

The Chief Estimator will direct historical data analysis, develop standards, and coordinate with operations leadership to drive competitive, executable project approaches. Strong leadership and risk assessment are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 15 years of progressively responsible experience in heavy civil construction, including at least 10 years of estimating experience and leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience estimating self-performed heavy civil projects and leading estimating teams.

Responsibilities

• Leads the estimating process for projects bid and awarded in the division.
• Establishes estimating strategies, bid selection criteria, and pricing methodologies.
• Directs analysis of past project performance, production rates, labor efficiencies, and cost trends.
• Oversees estimating software, databases, and bid management systems.
• Builds relationships with customers, design teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
