Job summary

Morgan Corp. in Atlanta, GA seeks a Chief Estimator to head the estimating function for heavy civil projects. You will drive budgets, cost estimates, bid strategies, and pricing for multiple projects within the division.

You will oversee self-performed work, subcontractor procurement, and cost databases, ensuring standardized methods and tools are applied. Strong leadership and strategic direction are essential.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressively responsible experience in heavy civil construction, including at least 10 years of estimating and leadership of estimating or preconstruction teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or equivalent related work experience.
• Demonstrated experience estimating self-performed heavy civil projects including earthwork, utilities, site development, and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead the estimating process for projects bid and awarded in the division with standardized procedures.
• Establish estimates strategies, bid criteria, and pricing methodologies to support growth and competitiveness.
• Direct analysis of past project performance, labor, equipment, and material costs to set standards for future work.
• Maintain cost databases, bid management systems, and estimating software across the division.
• Develop conceptual budgets and feasibility estimates for proposed projects.
