Job summary

HDR's Building Engineering Services Group seeks a Senior Estimator to lead cost estimating for complex projects in our national portfolio. You will develop capital cost estimates, perform quantity takeoffs, and guide pricing strategies with design and project teams.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, 10+ years of experience, strong MS Office skills, and the ability to lead small–mid size estimates. Sponsorship is not available for this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or Construction Science Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 10 years' related experience.
• Advanced understanding of Microsoft Office software.
• Advanced understanding of construction estimating concepts, scheduling and risk.

Responsibilities

• Perform general or discipline cost estimating generating capital cost and/or services estimates.
• Support estimate reporting and reviews.
• Provide technical direction to assigned personnel.
• Prepare services and cost estimates in specialized discipline areas.
• Prepare cost/schedule products for proposals or contract negotiations.
• Develop unit rates for discipline specific items.
• Assist in developing conceptual quantities.
