Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead cost estimating across disciplines for capital projects in the United States. The role supports proposals, pricing, and risk assessment while coordinating with multiple functions and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or Construction Science Engineering or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of 10 years' related experience.
• Advanced understanding of Microsoft Office software.
• Advanced understanding of construction estimating concepts, construction scheduling and elements associated with Risk.
• Able to lead small project estimates and coordinate across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Perform general or discipline cost estimating for capital costs and services.
• Support estimate reporting and reviews.
• Provide technical direction to assigned personnel.
• Prepare services, distributable, and capital cost estimates in discipline areas.
• Create cost/schedule products for proposals or contracts.
• Input level of effort for costs by coordinating with functions and vendors.
• Develop unit rates and crew-based capital cost estimates.
• Prepare basis and assumptions documenting rationale.
• Quantify and spread escalation based on schedule and costs.
• Generate payment schedules and cash models.
• Support risk analysis and contingency efforts.
• Develop staffing and pricing data for disciplines based on HDR experience.
