Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Estimator to develop, manage, and coordinate cost estimates for building and facility projects worldwide. You will lead a team of discipline estimators and work with schedulers and construction engineers in the estimating group.

The role supports projects from small to multi-billion dollar scales, with multi-discipline coordination for architectural systems, structural steel, concrete, and building envelope.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Operations Management, Business Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of combined experience in an estimating and construction role.
• Field experience, contractor-side estimating experience, preconstruction experience, or design-phase estimating experience on building or facility projects is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the timely and complete development of multi-disciplinary cost estimates and construction schedules.
• Develop detailed estimates for architectural systems, building envelope, interiors, finishes, doors/hardware, and related components.
• Coordinate input parameters for cost estimates and schedules.
• Validate material takeoffs and construction quantities from drawings.
• Prepare basis of cost estimate reports for end users.
