Job summary

Consigli Construction Co., Inc. is seeking a Lead Estimator to head all estimating efforts on complex mission-critical projects.

This remote-based role requires frequent travel to project sites and collaboration with clients, designers, and subcontractors. The ideal candidate will have a BS/MS in Engineering or Construction Management with 5+ years in estimating and 10+ years in construction, plus strong Excel and estimating software proficiency, and a proven track record in value engineering

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Engineering or Construction Management.
• Minimum 5 years of estimating experience in construction.
• 10+ years of construction experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Experience with specialized estimating software.
• Knowledge of market conditions impact on pricing.

Responsibilities

• Ensure estimating process runs smoothly and client expectations are exceeded.
• Build relationships to understand client, designer and subcontractor needs.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, proposals to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
• Facilitate collaboration among team members.
• Communicate with all stakeholders.
• Participate in business development activities, presentations and interviews.
• Prepare quantity take-offs and apply unit pricing for material and labor.
• Understand full scope via document review and questions to the design team and owner.
• Prepare value engineering and risk analysis.
• Prepare qualifications and assumptions for the estimate.
• Prepare cost comparisons/reconcile with previous estimates.
• Manage subcontractor solicitation & selection process.
• Prepare Exhibit B and/or scope sheets.
• Ensure quality control of bids and estimates.
• Prepare an in-house budget and GMP.
