Job summary

Jobgether is partnering to fill a Senior Estimator position based in the United States. The role leads estimating and preconstruction for diverse commercial projects, coordinating with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.

You will manage takeoffs, bid tabs, and subcontractor outreach, while guiding project strategy, cost modeling, and value engineering. Remote and office collaboration are expected, with a focus on safety and ethics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related discipline
• 7+ years in commercial construction with estimating/preconstruction focus
• Experience estimating across multiple disciplines and managing complex pursuits
• Ability to read and interpret complex drawings, specs, proposals, and bids
• Experience with conceptual estimating and preconstruction services is preferred
• Field experience and concrete estimating are advantageous
• Proficiency with on-screen takeoff software and the listed tools

Responsibilities

• Lead and support estimating activities for self-performed, hard-bid, negotiated, and conceptual projects across multiple market sectors and delivery methods
• Manage quantity takeoffs, project solicitation setup, subcontractor outreach, bid tab creation and leveling, proposal reviews, and other estimating functions
• Coordinate assignments and review team output to ensure complete and accurate estimates
• Contribute to conceptual estimating, preconstruction planning, value engineering, and cost-containment initiatives
• Support project teams through pre-design, construction planning, and execution
• Participate in client meetings, pre-bid meetings, RFP/RFQ responses, and bid strategy discussions
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
• Track pursuits and communicate status and requirements to leadership
• Mentor colleagues and contribute to continuous process improvement
• Uphold high standards of ethics, safety, and quality
