Job summary

Recruitometry is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead detailed construction estimates from design through pricing in Carlsbad, CA. You will own complex commercial scope estimating, coordinate with subcontractors, and drive value through cost analysis and VE opportunities.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, strong procurement and negotiation skills, and proficiency with industry tools. On-site position with cross-functional collaboration across preconstruction, operations, and clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of estimating or related commercial construction experience.
• Experience independently leading complete construction estimates through multiple design phases.
• Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, and project sequencing.
• Experience with Life Sciences, Healthcare, Commercial, Institutional, or Industrial construction preferred.
• Strong analytical, cost-analysis, and risk assessment skills.
• Bachelor's degree in CM/Engineering/Architecture or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of detailed construction estimates through multiple design phases.
• Perform and direct detailed quantity takeoffs from plans and specs.
• Develop cost estimates for complex scopes and bid packages; establish estimate structures.
• Review drawings, specs, and bid docs to identify scope, gaps, risks, and cost impacts.
• Lead subcontractor and vendor outreach; conduct bid leveling and budget reconciliation.
• Mentor junior estimators and coordinate Estimating team members.
