Job summary

SES Constructors LLC is expanding its civil construction team and seeks a Lead Estimator to deliver self-perform heavy civil cost estimates for various projects. You will base estimates on plans, specs, and scopes of work, collaborating with field and office professionals to meet submission deadlines.

This remote position requires EST or CST availability and occasional travel. A bachelor's in CM/CE and at least 10 years in heavy civil estimating, plus experience with Bid2Win or HCSS, is

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or civil engineering.
• 1
• 10 years of estimating experience in heavy civil construction.
• Experience estimating federal projects preferred.
• Ability to read contracts, drawings, specs, and schedules; demonstrated leadership.
• Experience with spreadsheets, CPM scheduling, and estimating software (Bid2Win, HCSS).

Responsibilities

• Produce self-perform heavy civil cost estimates and production rates.
• Furnish quantity takeoff information for detailed cost lists.
• Identify and analyze subcontractor and vendor quotes.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation plans.
• Prepare inquiries to clients regarding drawings and scopes.
• Collaborate with field and office teams for each estimate.
• Meet milestones for constructability reviews and deadlines.
• Support constructability reviews and alternate approaches.
• Vet subcontractor and supplier pricing to ensure coverage.
• Interact with Operations post-award for alternate scenarios.
