Job summary

AMECO is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead the estimating functions for an assigned area, providing services, procedures, and methods for the timely and accurate issuance of estimates and supporting documentation to clients and project management.

This role requires advanced knowledge and may direct staff on large projects, coordinating with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning, and Maintenance to ensure compliance and value.

Qualifications

• Accredited four-year degree plus 12 years related experience, or 16 years non-degreed. Some locations may have different qualifications.
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences including management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
• Attention to detail with time-conscious, efficient work practices.
• Knowledge of estimating methods, cost data, and bid development processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of the total project estimate, detailed and/or conceptual.
• Prepare the total Project Basis of Estimate and Risk Analysis.
• Coordinate estimate development with project team and present to management.
• Develop estimating training programs and coach junior staff.
• Maintain compliance with policies, procedures, and standards.
• Drive value engineering and cost-containment across disciplines.
• Stay current with estimating techniques and industry practices.
