Job summary

AMECO, a global site services leader, seeks a Senior Estimator in Houston to lead estimating functions for assigned projects. You will develop detailed and conceptual estimates, organize estimate reviews, and coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to deliver timely, accurate client proposals.

The role emphasizes leadership, training of staff, and adherence to HSE and company standards, with opportunities to influence bid strategy and project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences including management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
• Job-related technical knowledge to complete the estimating tasks.
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of local, state/provincial, and federal statutes and guidelines.
• Attention to detail with time-conscious and timely work habits.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of the total project estimate; detailed and/or conceptual.
• Prepare the Project Basis of Estimate and the Estimate Risk Analysis.
• Coordinate estimate development with the project team and conduct reviews.
• Present the estimate to AMECO and client management; support turnover to the project team.
• Develop estimating training programs and coach junior staff.
• Drive value engineering and ensure adherence to policies and standards.
