Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as an Estimator working on commercial construction projects, preferably with ground-up new build or design-build experience.
• Solid understanding of construction methods, sourcing, sequencing, materials, and cost drivers in procurement.
• Proficiency with construction estimating software and related technology platforms
• Willingness to adopt new digital tools and processes as they evolve
• Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple estimates concurrently
• Experience with Design/Build delivery is a plus
• Capable of collaborating with all parties to deliver the best project outcomes

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement efforts with Chief Estimator from schematics to final bidding.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and pricing for materials, labor, and equipment.
• Source, compare, and evaluate subcontractor and vendor bids to build budgets.
• Review drawings, specs, and scope to flag risks, gaps, or opportunities.
• Recommend value engineering options to improve cost or schedule outcomes.
• Coordinate with project management and field teams to hand off estimates smoothly.
• Contribute to proposal development and business development efforts as needed
