Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Senior Estimator II to lead estimating efforts for complex, large projects, coordinating with design teams, owners, and trade partners. The role requires supervising estimator teams, preparing bid packages, and ensuring alignment of scope and budget across projects.

Proficiency with cost history, Cortex, and BIM tools is essential. The Senior Estimator II will drive margin plans, present estimates to stakeholders, and manage bid day activities while maintaining strong

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Estimating, Civil or Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent field experience.
• Minimum 12 years construction industry experience.
• Expertise with building and estimating techniques and software.
• Able to lead teams of estimators on complex work.
• Able to use BIM, plans and other project documents to quantify the work.

Responsibilities

• Organize, plan and schedule estimate preparation and lead estimator teams on large projects.
• Prepare invitation to bid / budget and ensure complete pricing coverage.
• Obtain BIM and other documents to complete quantity survey and ensure scope alignment.
• Cost modeling, value analysis and target value delivery using Cortex.
• Maintain relationships with Operations, design partners, trade partners and owners.
