Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Senior MEP Estimator I- Electrical to lead estimating efforts for large projects. The role involves gathering data, calculating costs, and compiling estimates while managing multiple projects in a hybrid environment.

Base pay ranges reflect market norms and location-based adjustments. The successful candidate will use BIM and Cortex to build detailed estimates, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with operations, design partners, and owners to ensure accurate pricing and

Qualifications

• Minimum nine years construction industry experience.
• Proficient in using BIM, plans, and other project documents to quantify work.
• Knowledgeable in all building systems and contract types.
• Ability to coach and mentor junior estimators.
• Strong communication and risk management skills.

Responsibilities

• Organize and lead estimate preparation for large projects.
• Facilitate meetings, assign work, and ensure reliable estimates.
• Prepare bid budgets and quantify pricing with cost history data.
• Lead cost modeling using Cortex and inform design teams.
• Develop self-performed work scopes with proper budgeting.
• Maintain relationships with operations, design partners, and trade partners.
• Present estimates to internal and external customers.
