Job summary

APAC Alabama, Inc. in Mobile, AL seeks a Chief Estimator to compile data for bids on commercial and highway projects. You will review bids, manage pricing, and coordinate with subcontractors while maintaining a bid log and market intelligence system.

The role requires extensive experience in heavy highway estimating, familiarity with HCSS and Project Pipeline, and a commitment to safety and teamwork on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
• Minimum 10 years estimating heavy highway construction projects.
• Experience with state & federal DOT highway projects and Military Bases.

Responsibilities

• Manage one or more estimators.
• Review bids for conformity to contract requirements.
• Maintain bid log with follow-up summary and market intelligence.
• Coordinate with external sales on price formulation.
• Act as liaison between company and subcontractors.
• Track each project until a decision is made and review outcome.
