360X Staffing is recruiting an experienced Chief Estimator to lead estimating and preconstruction for large-scale heavy civil projects in Blacksburg, SC. The role oversees the estimating team, guides bid strategy, pricing, and pursuit through handoff to operations.

Relocation assistance is available. The ideal candidate has a strong heavy civil estimating background, leadership experience, and a proven ability to develop detailed estimates and competitive bid strategies while protecting margins.

Qualifications

• Strong estimating background within heavy civil construction.
• Experience leading complex civil estimates and bid strategy.
• Ability to review plans and technical documents with accuracy.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimating and preconstruction for heavy civil projects.
• Manage and mentor an estimating team (~4–5 members).
• Review drawings, specs, scopes, and bid requirements.
• Develop detailed estimates, quantity takeoffs, labor/equipment assumptions, pricing.
