Job summary

Jobot is seeking a seasoned Estimating Manager in Utah to lead the estimating team, oversee all estimating operations in the western region, and ensure accurate, timely bids for heavy civil and heavy highway mega projects.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in construction estimating, Design Build experience, and strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills; familiarity with HCSS Heavy Bid is a plus.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in construction estimating, with heavy civil and highway exposure.
• Experience in Design Build, public works and private projects.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency with estimating software and cost data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead the estimating team to develop accurate, timely construction estimates.
• Analyze drawings, specs, proposals, and docs to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
• Oversee preparation of thorough,competitive estimates and assess bidding risks.
• Review bid documents and manage project risk.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients for detailed estimates.
• Identify cost uncertainties and drive data-driven cost reductions.
