Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Structures Estimator for heavy civil and bridge projects in the Salt Lake City area. The role focuses on leading estimation efforts across a portfolio of complex construction ventures using various delivery methods to deliver accurate, competitive estimates.

You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects, develop budgets and forecasts, assess risks, and mentor junior estimators.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction estimation experience in heavy structures.
• Experience with bridge projects and alternative delivery methods.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structures estimation process for complex construction projects.
• Apply Design Build, CMAR, CMGC, hard bid, and Progressive Design Build methodologies to estimates.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare and present detailed cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts for materials, labor, equipment, and schedules.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to navigate design and construction challenges.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies in line with company standards.
• Mentor junior estimators and contribute to their development.
