Responsibilities include reviewing plans, performing quantity takeoffs, managing budgets, coordinating with owners, engineers, and subcontractors, and visiting sites to assess methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• 10+ years in Estimating/Project Management.
• Civil projects up to $50M; larger projects a plus.
• Proficient in Excel, Word; familiarity with Blue Beam and Heavy Bid.
• Knowledge of union agreements a plus.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Analyze project documents for risk, schedule, and profitability.
• Review plans/specs and prepare complete, accurate bid proposals.
• Perform quantity take-offs and pricing for materials, subcontractors, and crews.
• Compare current bids to historical data and manage post-bid documentation.
• Build and manage project budgets and documentation.
• Communicate with owners, engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Visit project sites to evaluate methods and progress.

Requirements

To be considered, preferred applicants should present the following:

• Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Skilled in construction means/methods and production for structures, roadways, sitework, and utilities. Experience with trackwork is a plus.
• 10+ years in Estimating/Project Management.
• Ability to deliver winning, value-driven bids.
• Experience with alternate delivery methods (e.g. Design Build) is a plus.
• Proven track record estimating civil projects up to $50M. Experience with larger projects ($100M+) is preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, Blue Beam, Heavy Bid.
• Knowledge of union agreements is a plus.
