Job summary

Michels Utility Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Estimator to evaluate bid specs and drawings, ensuring complete bid packages and profitable bids. You will collaborate with Project Management and subcontractors to secure bids and manage budgets for successful outcomes.

The role requires 7+ years of estimating experience in the utility sector or data-center projects, strong numerical skills, and excellent communication. A valid driver's license and travel up to 25% are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering and 7+ years of related experience or equivalent combination.
• Estimating experience and exposure to the utility industry and/or mission critical/data center projects.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Solid Microsoft Office experience, with advanced Excel experience.
• Ability to travel 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate bid specifications and drawings to ensure complete bid packages.
• Follow-up with subcontractors to confirm bid submissions and bid timing.
• Collaborate with Project Management to monitor bids and budgets for closure.
• Maintain accuracy, attention to detail, and timely delivery of estimates.
• Communicate clearly, both orally and in writing.
