Job summary

Jobot is seeking a dynamic Senior Estimator to join our construction team. This permanent role focuses on estimating for design-build projects, cost analysis, and project management, with a salary range of $120,000-$145,000 per year.

You will review drawings, prepare detailed estimates using BlueBeam, submit RFQs, and work with project managers to keep projects on time and within budget. A 5+ year background and a degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in construction estimation, preferably in a senior role.
• Proficiency in BlueBeam or equivalent software.
• Experience with base building construction projects.
• Ability to interpret two-dimensional drawings.
• Experience in preparing RFQs, tracking bids, and working with project managers.
• Strong negotiation skills and proven cost estimation track record.
• Knowledge of building construction costs including materials, labor and equipment.
• Experience developing written proposals and presenting to clients.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and interpreting two-dimensional drawings to understand project requirements.
• Utilizing BlueBeam and other industry-standard tools to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Analyzing labor costs, equipment costs and other construction expenses to develop estimates.
• Preparing and submitting RFQs, tracking bids, and coordinating with project managers to meet goals.
• Developing written proposals and presenting them to clients and stakeholders.
• Negotiating contracts and cost estimates to optimize outcomes for the company.
• Applying knowledge of construction to create realistic timelines and budgets.
• Collaborating with the team to ensure design-build projects are completed on time and within budget.
