Job summary

Jobot in Greenville, SC is seeking a seasoned Senior Estimator to join our dynamic construction team. This permanent role focuses on design-build projects, cost analysis, and accurate estimating across large-scale ventures.

You will review drawings, prepare detailed estimates using BlueBeam, manage RFQs, and collaborate with project managers to keep budgets on track. A 5+ year background in construction estimation and a related degree are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimation, preferably in a senior role.
• Proficiency with BlueBeam or equivalent software.
• Demonstrated experience with base building construction projects.
• Ability to interpret two-dimensional drawings.
• Experience in preparing RFQs, tracking bids, and coordinating with project managers.
• Strong negotiation skills and proven cost estimation success.
• Deep knowledge of building construction including materials, labor and equipment costs.
• Experience in developing written proposals and presenting to clients and stakeholders.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and interpreting two-dimensional drawings to understand project requirements.
• Utilizing BlueBeam and other industry-standard tools to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Analyzing labor costs, equipment costs, and other construction expenses to develop accurate estimates.
• Preparing and submitting RFQs, tracking bids, and coordinating with project managers to meet goals.
• Developing written proposals and presenting them to clients and stakeholders.
• Negotiating contracts and cost estimates to achieve favorable outcomes for the company.
• Applying knowledge of building construction to create realistic timelines and budgets.
• Collaborating with the team to ensure design-build projects are completed on time and within budget.
