Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Estimating Manager to lead the estimating program in the Rochester, MN area with relocation offered. You will set department strategy, standards, and cost models while guiding a team of estimators on large-scale projects.

You will oversee bid processes, collaborate with procurement, and drive improvements in estimating practices to secure competitive, accurate proposals for $100M+ projects. Leadership and industry expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of mechanical HVAC and piping estimating experience.
• 10+ years knowledge of corporate objectives impacting estimating, estimating strategies and contracts.
• 10+ years using industry-standard estimating and takeoff software.
• 5+ years leading, coaching, and mentoring an estimating team.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and guide the company’s estimating program and strategy.
• Develop standards, policies, and cost models for estimating.
• Lead pre-bid strategy meetings and bid analysis.
• Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors on estimates.
• Manage and grow the estimating team and foster culture.
