Job summary

Methuen Construction is seeking a Chief Estimator in Plaistow, NH to lead multi-disciplinary estimating for projects ranging from $20–$500 million. You will supervise the pricing team, review designs, and sponsor the estimate through management reviews.

The role requires strong leadership, experience in self-perform industrial, heavy civil, and water/wastewater projects, plus proficiency with HCSS HeavyBid, AGTEK Estimating, and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of estimating experience, preferably with multiple self-perform disciplines.
• Experience in complex industrial facility, heavy civil, and building construction disciplines.
• Experience leading and supervising other estimators to develop a comprehensive project estimate.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary party for all estimating assignments.
• Review solicitation and design documents to identify risks and opportunities related to pricing.
• Develop and manage the estimate schedule and coordinate milestones with the discipline estimators.
• Distribute documents to pricing team and maintain revision control.
• Review final multi-discipline estimate and prepare reports for management review.
• Ensure complete estimate coverage and gap elimination.
• Oversee all bid day activities for traditional design-bid-build pursuits.
• Drive process improvements to keep estimating practices industry-leading.
