Job summary

Michels Construction, Inc. in White Plains, NY is seeking a Senior Estimator to evaluate bid specs and drawings, attend pre-bid meetings, solicit quotes, and ensure competitive bids are prepared for win opportunities.

This role partners with project teams to finalize bids and budgets with precision. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of related experience, a construction management degree, and proficiency with HCSS or B2W, plus a willingness to travel approximately 25% to job sites and pre-bid

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, or equivalent degree from a 4-year college or university, 10+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Working knowledge of estimating and scheduling software (HCSS, B2W)
• Must posses a valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles which may be driven and an acceptable driving record
• Position requires around 25% travel for jobsite visits, pre-bid meetings, and pre-construction meeting

Responsibilities

• Evaluate bid specifications and drawings

• Solicit material and subcontractor quotes
• Ensure all bid requirements are met to win the project
• Collaborate with Project Management to follow up on bids and budgets
