Elsdon Group in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our growing team. You will own the full estimating process for commercial projects, from bid reviews to final submissions, with emphasis on ground-up work in K12, religious and public sector markets.

Projects go up to $80M. You will apply deep knowledge of construction costs, materials, labor, and subcontractor pricing while collaborating with Project Managers, Superintendents and Preconstruction to win competitive, accurate

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience estimating within commercial construction.
• Strong ground-up construction experience across K12, religious and public sector projects.
• Experience estimating projects valued up to $80M.
• Some renovation experience alongside ground-up background.
• Ability to manage full estimating processes from bid reviews to submissions.
• Experience with quantity take-offs, cost analysis, subcontractor pricing, and bid packages.
• Knowledge of construction costs, materials, labour and subcontractor markets.
• Ability to work with Project Managers, Superintendents and Preconstruction teams.
• Excellent employment history with long-term company tenures.
• Based in Houston with knowledge of local market.

We’re working with an established General Contractor in Houston who is looking to bring an experienced Estimator onto their growing team.

The business has a strong pipeline of commercial construction projects across the Houston market, with a focus on K12, religious and public sector construction.

Projects range up to $80M, with the majority being ground-up builds alongside some renovation work. They're looking for an Estimator with a strong commercial background who can produce accurate, competitive estimates and play an important role in securing new projects.

What they're looking for:

• 5+ years of experience estimating within commercial construction.
• Strong ground-up construction experience across K12, religious and public sector projects.
• Experience estimating projects valued up to $80M.
• Some renovation experience alongside a predominantly ground-up background.
• Ability to manage full estimating processes, from initial bid reviews through to final submissions.
• Experience with quantity take-offs, cost analysis, subcontractor pricing and bid packages.
• Strong knowledge of construction costs, materials, labour and subcontractor markets.
• Ability to work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents and Preconstruction teams.
• Excellent employment history with proven long-term company tenures.
• Based in Houston with knowledge of the local construction market.
