Job summary

Stratasys Direct Manufacturing in Tucson, AZ is seeking an Estimation Engineer II to evaluate RFQs and deliver accurate quotes aligned with customer requirements. This role provides DFAM guidance, defines program timelines, and collaborates with Sales, Fulfillment, and Operations to support high-quality, on-time project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Seven years in estimation engineering or four years in PM/operations within additive environment with at least one year in estimation engineering.
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams and clearly communicate technical requirements and status.
• Understanding of manufacturing process specs and technical documents.
• GD&T knowledge and ability to redline or recommend design changes.
• Experience with SolidWorks or other CAD programs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Teams).
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate quotes by reviewing 3D CAD models and drawings to ensure manufacturability.
• Use cost estimation tools to calculate material, labor, and overhead costs for standard and complex quotes.
• Provide DFAM and manufacturing guidance, identify issues, and propose solutions early in quoting.
• Review CAD data with SolidWorks and other CAD software to verify data.
• Communicate technical requirements and cost drivers clearly to customers and internal teams.
• Collaborate with Operations, Fulfillment, Sales to ensure alignment with timelines and margins.
• Maintain documentation of quotes, proposals and communications.
• Support procurement and supply chain in sourcing materials for additive projects.
• Participate in post-project reviews for process improvement.
