Job summary

Stratasys Direct Manufacturing is seeking an Estimation Engineer II to evaluate RFQs, deliver accurate quotes, and provide DFAM guidance. You will work with Sales, Fulfillment, and Operations to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery.

The role requires strong GD&T knowledge, CAD proficiency, and cross-functional communication. Responsibilities include cost estimation, process improvement, and collaboration with SMEs across manufacturing methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Seven+ years in estimation engineering or four+ years in PM/ops in additive environment with at least one year in estimation engineering.
• Strong initiative for process improvement and learning opportunities.
• Clear written and verbal technical communication in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate quotes by reviewing 3D CAD models and 2D drawings, evaluating geometry and tolerances.
• Calculate material, labor, and overhead costs using estimation tools and databases.
• Provide DFAM and manufacturing guidance to optimize processes and costs.
• Review CAD data with SolidWorks, Materialise Magics, Autodesk Inventor to ensure manufacturability.
• Communicate requirements, cost drivers and timelines clearly to customers and internal teams.
• Collaborate with Operations, Fulfillment, Sales to align on costs, margins and schedules.
• Maintain documentation of quotes, proposals and communications.
• Assist procurement and supply chain in sourcing materials for additive projects.
• Support cross-functional project management and CPI for process improvements.
