Job summary

This role handles higher volume and more complex quotes, working independently on standard requests while taking greater ownership in cross-functional and client interactions. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Minimum four years in estimation engineering or four years in project/ops in additive environment with at least one year in estimation engineering.
• Demonstrated initiative and process improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate quotes by reviewing 3D CAD models and drawings.
• Calculate material, labor, and overhead costs using estimation tools.
• Apply additive/traditional manufacturing knowledge to guide production processes.
• Review CAD data using SolidWorks, Materialise Magics, Autodesk Inventor.
• Communicate requirements, cost drivers, timelines and tradeoffs to customers and internal teams.
• Provide DFAM guidance early in quoting process to mitigate issues.
• Collaborate with Operations, Fulfillment, Sales to ensure alignment with expectations.
• Maintain documentation of quotes, proposals, and communications.
• Stay informed about industry trends in additive manufacturing and estimation practices.
