Job summary

NWPX Infrastructure is seeking an experienced Estimator to lead the cost estimation for large-scale precast concrete projects in Ferris, TX. You will analyze blueprints and specifications, prepare comprehensive estimates, and coordinate with Sales and Operations to optimize pricing and project execution.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of estimating experience in a manufacturing/office setting, with strong communication and leadership abilities to mentor junior

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 5 years estimating experience in a manufacturing/office setting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of civil engineering and surveying terminology.
• Proven bid submissions and estimate accuracy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Independently analyze and interpret blueprints, specifications, and related docs for bid preparation.
• Prepare and manage detailed estimates for large-scale or complex projects.
• Collaborate with Sales, Project Management, and Operations to align pricing strategies.
• Develop and refine takeoff and estimation processes using company software and best practices.
• Lead estimation on specialized precast concrete products and custom structures.
• Provide mentorship and QA reviews for Estimating Specialist I and junior staff.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, client consultations, and project kick-offs.
• Conduct cost analysis to support value engineering and optimization.
• Maintain knowledge of industry trends, market conditions, and competitor pricing.
• Ensure compliance with Precast policies, safety standards, and estimating procedures.
